I am finally getting around to posting photos of the completed Gala Quilt and am happy to report that it raised $950 for my children's school!
That exceeded my expectations and I'm grateful for the generosity of the school's benefactors. If all goes well, I plan to enlist the same group of girls to make another one for next year's Gala. That will be a fun project to work on with them over the summer months.
As always, I'm in the middle of several projects; my first hand quilted baby blanket, a special gift I'm knitting, and of course, paper piecing! Have I told you about paper piecing? I love paper piecing! I'll post about it next time.
Until then, I hope you are finding ways to connect with yourself and others through your creative interests. Slow it down and make something ... anything!
I promise, no matter how small the project, it will give you a real boost when it's complete. There is something magical in knowing, "I made that!"
